Our Sensational Stay at an Enchanting Tennessee Airbnb

Our recent stay at a Tennessee Airbnb was such a fantastic experience. Located an hour north of Chattanooga, this lodging destination is on the tip of the mountain with beautiful views of the rolling hills.

A house is a house, right? Not in my opinion! A house can be a work of art. Every square inch can be thought of as a piece of clay waiting to be molded into something extraordinary. The owners of Enchanting Horizons have curated a home with those thoughts in mind. Let me take you on a visual tour of this exquisite lodging experience.

We stayed at this Tennessee Airbnb on our way back from Hilton Head. Our departure time from HH ended up being much later than we anticipated, so we arrived at Enchanting Horizons later than we had hoped. I can only imagine what the view looks like at sunset! That being said, pulling up to the home in the dark was beautiful in and of itself.

Upon entering

Lighting along the walkway from the parking area to the front door made navigation very easy. The first thing we noticed was the phenomenal bird sculptured on the side of the stucco wall. You know from the moment you arrive that this is going to be something special.

As we entered the house, it was apparent that the owners had taken the time to make our late-night arrival extra inviting. The lights were on, including the flickering sconces and fireplace stove, making our entrance easy and pleasing to the eye.

Sensational Details

The interior details start from the moment you take your first step inside. The stone flooring has been artistically designed to showcase a swirling path of maple, oak, and sassafras leaves interwoven among rocks. Immediately to your left is a wonderful array of teas, coffee, cookies, and chocolates for a late-night snack.

The fully equipped kitchen boasts an arching bamboo ceiling with a blended chandelier. Above the counter you’ll be mesmerized by the artistically created geode vortex light and DNA helix unwrapping. Added touches, such as a bottle of wine surrounded by rose petals sitting on the table and homemade cookies, were pleasant surprises. All the little extras give that unique flair like no other.

First Floor Layout

What would typically be set up as a living room is currently set as a first-floor bedroom. The bed faces huge, glass windows for a panoramic mountain view of the Sequatchie Valley. Tucked up over the window frame is a 120” movie theatre screen that unrolls with a click of a button. You can lay in bed and watch your favorite show or sit on the comfy lounger chairs at the foot of the bed.

On each side of the bed is a desk. An abundant collection of entries in the guest book verify we aren’t the first guests to feel totally awe struck by this beautiful, Tennessee Airbnb mountain oasis. Complimentary cords are provided to charge up your devices if you have forgotten yours. There is also an antique trunk full of board games and a yoga mat for a variety of entertainment.

Speaking of entertainment, the record player has a Guardians of the Galaxy vinyl ready and waiting to be played. This must be one of the best overall records I’ve heard. It’s just the right music for the specific mood of the home. We played it all evening long and I even talked my husband into a few songs on the ‘dance floor’ before heading out the next morning.

Even Better Upstairs

Exquisite details can’t help but be noticed as you ascend the spiral staircase. The sculpted walls, the sconces, the unique boards used for the stairs and the wooden branch spindles all create a magnificent entrance to the cozy upstairs loft.

A queen-sized bed is upstairs in a nice sized room which then leads to a Zen-like space perfect for meditation and/or relaxation. Details continue with the wall sconces, lanterns, floor mat, woven rugs, and earth tone features.

Bathroom Beauty

As you walk through the doorway to the bathroom, the first thing you’ll notice are the mysterious, intricately designed stucco walls. Behind the wooden doors, you’re given a small glimpse of the straw bales used to construct the home. Straw serves as the insulator with stucco on the interior and exterior. It’s a very well received building style that has always intrigued me.

Even the bathroom is a phenomenal work of art. More than five different building materials are used within the shower alone. Cascading plants inside the shower and around the room soften the feel and give it a subtle, wild ambiance. More geodes can be found artistically displayed as added touches of design. I’ve always been a fan of repurposed furniture as a bathroom vanity. The owners have taken the idea a step further by adding a sink basin resembling a carved rock, decorative hardware and all the amenities you might need, including two plush robes.

Nature’s Showcase

Outdoors, you’ll find an array of options to aid in savoring the astonishing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Adirondack chairs are located both on the patio and by the firepit. There’s even a hammock to lounge in during warm weather months. Dining al fresco is always a favorite when surrounded by nature’s beauty. The hosts have provided a propane, stone pizza oven. Be sure to bring all the necessary ingredients with you for your Tennessee Airbnb stay so you can take advantage of this cooking source. Pizza and a sunset – yes, please!

While you’re outside, take a walk around the home so you can admire the beauty that graces the stucco walls. Like I mentioned earlier, the entire home is a work of art. It’s incredible!

This Tennessee Airbnb has quite the panoramic mountain view!

Stinging Falls Nature Preserve

After (reluctantly) leaving this magnificent oasis, we headed to Stinging Falls Nature Preserve. It’s a 10-15 minute drive from the Tennessee Airbnb. There is a small parking lot just off the road. From the parking lot, you’ll take a well-marked trail roughly one mile down to the falls. The path is well maintained, but you’ll want to wear appropriate shoes as there are many rocks and a lot of dripping water. The surroundings are quite beautiful, yet the waterfall is a showstopper. We couldn’t get over the color of the water!

As you are heading to the waterfall, you’ll see a sign where the trail comes to a ‘T’. Heading in the opposite direction will be the path for two more phenomenal waterfalls. The round-trip hike will take a few hours so plan accordingly. We did not have enough time to get to the other two but look forward to a return visit to do so.

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay at this Tennessee Airbnb. The home is exquisite and all the extras the hosts provide to make the stay extra special really mean a lot. I hope you will consider booking a stay at this enchanted oasis for a chance to unwind and reconnect. A huge thank you to Nate and Emily for allowing us to experience your slice of heaven.

Many passions fill my life but my family, friends and travel top the list by far. Combining them, or at least two of the three, makes it even better! I love being home and working in my garden but the urge to see and experience something new is always bubbling to the top. I love the researching part of planning a trip almost as much as the actual experience. I also like the challenge of seeing what kind of deals I can get so money is left over for even more trips!
